About Us

We are a dynamic firm of Solicitors established in 1997 by the founding partner, Mr Kieran Henry.

The firm consists of Solicitors, specialising in Criminal Law, Family Law, Personal Injury and Civil Litigation. We have Higher Court Advocates and in-house Barristers. We also have a team of Paralegals and trainee Solicitors and trainee Barristers working within the various departments.

The firm grew rapidly from its early beginnings initially, criminal litigation. We then expanded into civil litigation, family law, personal injury, Wills and Probate, Employment and Immigration. The firm became one of the first in the United Kingdom to join the Serious Fraud Panel and set up its Serious Crime Department and Serious Fraud Department with a team of dedicated lawyers. They have dealt with a number of very high profile cases and successfully defended clients charged with these serious offences.

As a result of our growth we have developed a practice covering the whole of the UK.

The Firm subsequently set up Departments dealing with Motoring Law offences and a Road Traffic.  Our team of Solicitors deal with all areas of Motoring Law from speeding to death by dangerous driving, with specific emphasise on helping the private motorist and companies.

The firm has been instrumental in challenging Government Legislation in the specific area of speed camera offences and are taking the Government to the House of Lords on the validity of speed cameras.

In relation to the family team, this has been successfully developed by our Mr Stephen Kerrigan who has been a senior family lawyer for over 30 years. He was the former managing partner of Olliers Solicitors, a large Manchester firm specialising in all areas of litigation. Mr Kerrigan and his former partner, Patricia McManus, were instrumental in advising drafting the legislation in regard to family law in the Isle of Man and has a very strong background in defending children.  He is a Member of the Law Society’s Children’s Panel. The firm advises in all aspects of family law including financial disputes, contact and residence, injunctions and child care proceedings.

The family department has grown rapidly due to Mr Kerrigan’s good reputation.  Members of his team are happy to help clients and families in need of urgent assistance, especially when Local Authorities instigate Care Proceedings and the families need urgent assistance in relation to such applications.

In these difficult financial times the firm offers both private and legal aid assistance to clients who wish to avail themselves of our services.

The firm’s large Head Office premises in the centre of Stockport are very accessible by both car and public transport and our Solicitors are always available to speak to on the telephone or attend home visits in the North West of England.

The firm’s 24 hour Advice Service is available.
